Fred Phelps’ clan is coming to Indianapolis to protest the Jewish Community Center! The “God Hates Fags
” Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket the JCC with their awful anti-Semitic signs. (WBC has a new, anti-Jewish campaign at: www.JewsKilledJesus.com)
The Westboro Baptist Church wrote on their website, “JCCs poor substitute for obeying God! WBC will be on hand, we like to sing to our Jewish brethren. We like to see their faces and hear their words so that we may give testimony to the fact that THERE ARE NO GOOD FIGS!” Fred Phelps and his group travel all across the United States spreading their message of hate and lies.
However, when the Phelps group comes to Indianapolis to protest the JCC, they will actually be raising money for the Indianapolis JCC.
We are hosting a Phelps-A-Thon to counter Fred Phelps’ hateful message. For every minute the WBC is protesting, we will be collecting donations for the Indianapolis JCC. (Pledge Online)
The Phelps clan will be protesting at the JCC from 2:10 
PM to 2:40 PM on September 24th. You can pledge any amount you chose, whether it be $0.25, $0.50, $1, or even $2 for every minute they protest. You can even pledge a flat rate for the entire time the group will be demonstrating. (Pledge Online)
The point of this Phelps-A-Thon is two fold. First, we are using Phelps’ own hateful message to raise funds for a good cause, one that will help counter the lies that are being spread. Second, After the event, we will send Phelps a thank you card, telling him how much money he raised for the organization. This will certainly upset the group and it is possible that they will stop protesting in order to stop our fundraising.
During a three month trek across the United States in an effort to promote LGBT equality, Chris Mason, Founder of Phelps-A-Thon.com, stopped in Topeka, Kansas to visit the Westboro Baptist Church. He sat down for a conversation with Shirley Phelps, the daughter of Fred Phelps and new leader of the group to get a better understanding of why the groups feels the need to spread hate.
On the “God Hates Fags” website, Phelps has this to say about the upcoming protest at the JCC:

We like to see their faces and hear their words so that we may give testimony to the fact that THERE ARE NO GOOD FIGS! Check out these simple facts, rebels: God with you did make a pact. Just OBEY, He's got your back. But when you rebel, we'll be there. God reached out His words to you. You curse Him with all you do. He's put you to shame, we'll be there. We'll be there to remind you, God has brought all this evil upon you. Whenever God smacks you - we'll be there. Just look over your shoulder, rebels! Seriously! The Lord Jesus Christ whom you defy daily in all ways and all words with deeds along side - that Lord will soon return to conduct the RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS. However, like that evil Saul was a 
tyrant and a clueless piece of pooh, you think your genealogy will buy you a pass! OMG! No, at crunch time God will choose your punishment and will turn those of your own household whom you trust to protect and help you - I say God will turn those same people against you. 1Samuel 19:1 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. 2 But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself: All of these things are determined, and there is nothing you faithless Jews can do when God sends Antichrist Obama to destroy you! If you repent then perhaps God will help you at that hour, but not because you or anyone deserves the mercy of God. Those 144,000 who are His chosen people from amongst you will receive that mercy and kindness, God will have mercy on whomsoever He wills. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! AMEN!”
